Earthwool Building Slab
Earthwool® Building Slab is a rock mineral wool, multi-purpose slab for use in a variety of applications including domestic housing, building services and industrial applications. Earthwool Building Slabs are unfaced, rock mineral wool slabs, available in 60 and 100 kg/m³ densities with a range of thicknesses from 50mm to 100mm.

Earthwool Building Slabs are used for a wide range of thermal and acoustic insulation applications in buildings, building services and industry.
Standards
Earthwool Building Slabs are made from non-combustible inorganic rock mineral wool and are manufactured to a Quality Assurance system which complies with EN ISO 9001:2000.
Durability
Earthwool Building Slabs are odourless, non-hygroscopic, rot proof, do not sustain vermin and will not encourage the growth of fungi, mould or bacteria.
Operating temperatures
Earthwool Building Slabs can be used up to continuous operating temperatures of 850°C. This is dependent on density.
Vapour resistance – resistivity
Earthwool Universal Slabs have a vapour resistance of 7.00 MN.s/g.m
Moisture resistance
When exposed to 90% relative humidity at 20°C, Earthwool Building Slabs absorb less than 0.004% of moisture.
Handling and storage
Earthwool Building Slabs are easy to handle and install, being lightweight and easy to cut to size. Earthwool Building Slabs are supplied in packs in Supakube pallets. For longer term outside storage (stock or site) the pallets should be stored under a secure waterproof covering. Universal Slabs should not be left permanently exposed to the elements.
Earthwool Building Slabs are free from CFCs, HCFCs and any other material with ozone depletion potential in its manufacture and content and represents no known threat to the environment.
Earthwool Building Slabs’ manufacture has a low impact on the environment and is classified as Zero ODP and Zero GWP.
